Directors Statement
Following SAS's master plan to reinvent their educational systems started with a simple conversation about capturing some timelapse footage over the summer of the construction they were doing on their elementary building. This conversation sparked a multiyear effort to bring not onlly the physical updates to screen but also the change management taking place in the corner offices of the school.
Our cameras filmed critical meetings where the leadership teams laid out the strategic plan for the future and faced the ever present doubt that often comes when tinkering with decades of success for students in the education sector.
The goal was to explore not only the outcomes of the effort, but also to document the process of changing education as a way to showcase to other schools what might be in store for them as the changes in future technology and job readiness radically change what students need to be learning in school to be prepared to join the workforce later in life.
